Presentation: Sampled on draft at the Santa Fe Hops Brewhouse on Friday 9th July after a long day at work.

Appearance: Lovely hazed IPA orange body with some deep rich light amber hints mixed into a fused body. Off-white creamy head forms easily and last throughout the drink. The carbonation is superb.

Nose: A fresh hoppy nose sits above a nicely layered malt and citric background. Looks and smells great this one.

Taste: Hops are most definitely a solid backbone in this Pale Ale. Excellent mix of malts and fresh grassy hops with a biting bitterness in the finish. Fruity with some Orange zest tingle on the tongue in the middle. Beautiful.

Mouthfeel: Solid thick creamy head cuts the aggressive grassy feel of the hoppy body. Above average feel for a 5% ABV Pale Ale, but not over powering, rather, it is well balanced and feels great in the mouth.

Drinkability: Several Pitchers of this were ordered for our group. I had to work hard to get my Pint from the Pitcher, as this quickly proved to be a favorite with the group of colleagues and disappeared in record time. Refreshing, tasty and extremely quaffable, at 5%, this is a perfect hoppy Pale Ale session beer.

Overall: After the average Santa Fe Wheat, the not impressive American Red Ale, the Geezers Pale Ale (or GPA) is by far the best of the bunch. Excellent hoppy Pale Ale that impressed me. Start with a quick Pint of Wheat on a hot day, and then finish with a Pitcher or two of the GPA. A very good, rather hoppy, classic West Coast version of the American Pale Ale. Recommended.
