On-Tap at this years EBF. Much better than the non-oak-aged version. A light honey/golden colour with a small white head that dies rather quickly. Aromas are all fresh honey, chamomile and clove-like spicey oak hints. The sweetness of this brew is kept in check, and the oak-aging lends a new dimension of complexity to a previously one-sided tasting experience. Taste is all fresh honey, spices, and vanilla/oak. Mouthfeel is creamier than I remember and filling. Drinkability is very good, but still as with any braggot or mead the sweetness can get to you in the end. A very nice improvement, by a very awesome brewery that is never scared to reinvent itself or its beers.
