On tap at TRT. Followed up Maine Dinner, so this is not really fair.

Big can. BO 9/27/18 opened on 11/30/18
A hazy, clearly unfiltered gold and rust color. A white foam cap forms but dissipates quickly, leaving only a thin trace of foam and minimal lacing around the edges.
The aroma has a tangy but also very sweet citrus notes, with peaches, raspberry and medicinal herbal hop dominance. The malt is light buy honey scented.
The flavor is interesting...a sharp, bitter and medicinal style hop bite happens right off, dried leafy effects all over. Sour and tangy citrus, grapefruit and maybe some papaya come forth from the harsh, and intense hop complexity.
Complexity is high, drinkability low, the malt proceeds to be light and maybe medium bodied, but plenty crisp and pleasantly sweet with honey and field grains.b
Overall, it's just not falling in-line with my expectations if what is a righteous big IPA these days. It certainly has it's charms, as it's a bit of a throw-back style with the big bitter alpha acid attack, the malt falls in line with the lighter side malt experience, which I dig. Together.... it's rather strange. Just go for the ride and figure it out for yourself.b
