Looks like an ESB. Pale color with a nice head. Orange peel is the strongest flavor present. The citrus flavors supply both the main bitter flavor and the slight sweet flavor. A nice hop bite adds to the package. This is yet another wonderful Magic Hat brew. I hope they bring this one back.

Visited the brewery last week, and gave this one a try. It's currently called E-Squared (Experimental Elixir, get it?), which is the name for all MH experimental brews. It's an ESB, and delivers well on the style, except is perhaps a little more hoppy than a traditional English ESB. Very smooth and drinkable. I wouldn't mind seeing this one officially brought to market.

Note that this beer is probably different from the one reviewed below. Magic Hat calls ALL of their experimental brews E-Squared, and they are constantly trying new recipes and offering them at the brewery with the same name.

This is a new one at Magic Hat. The People working there said it was just released last week (3/17) and was only being called their experimental pale ale and the tap handle in their brewery only had a large E inside a star on it.
Very clear brownish red with a fluffy white head. This beer has the citrusy sweetness of an IPA without the hop bitterness.
If you are in the Burlington area you should go to their brewery and try this out.
