Poured from 12-ounce bottle into a champagne flute. Stunning presentation, with a clear ruby-colored body topped by a brilliant white head that settled to a thin ring leaving a bit of spotty lacing. Wine-y aromas and flavors as expected, with a light jammy note that allows the malt backbone to peek through. Light in body, low bitterness, and a very dry and slightly tannic finish. This one has something for the wine drinker as well as the beer drinker. Not a bad choice for the holiday table!

-Ale brewed with Petit Verelot and petit sirah grapes.
A: An almost red wine pour with some merlot highlights has a dirty white head with plum-pink like hues. The covering quickly lapses leaving no visible reminders behind.
S: A bit tart red wine flair, furity with some fermented apples and melons. Awareness is average at best, with some plums and grapes.
T: The flavor is lightly sour, dark red grapes and plums. Tart apple-plum, musky grain sweetness and cherries. Spicy with some dried honey.
M: Smooth lighlty acidic, very slippery and smooth, silky texture with a medium body.
O: Overall a smooth drinker, decent, lightly tart and sour, average enjoyment factor.

Dark, red, clear color. It does look like a red wine.
Slight red wine nose. Little beer comes through.
Taste is a nice combination of red wine and pale ale.
