Poured from a can, hazy golden brown with a nice head. Mild citrusy aroma. Overall very mild. Very light grapefruity flavor. Light bodied and well carbonate. A decent hazy IPA.

On tap in Boise ID, served in a shapely pint nonic; hazy and mostly opaque golden body with a creamy white head that laces the glass extremely well, making for an attractive brew for sure; subtle fruity impressions of hops, citrus fruits, orange zest, creamy body with an impression of crackery malt; subtle floral notes as well; finish is just dry and bitter enough to keep you drinking. A solid brew, soft and definitely not up to IPA standards, but easy drinking and more than serviceable for a pale ale.

From a 12 oz. can dated 05/20/2020. Sampled July 17, 2020.
It has an opaque orange-amber appearance with a modest, fading white head. But it is not as hazy as I thought it might be.
The aroma emits sensations of citrus, lemon zest, mango, along with that typical pasty, crackery Magic Hat yeast and cereal grain.
Light, smooth mouthfeel.
The taste is sweet and citrus like at first with a fruity sort of bitterness at the end.

Too easy for me, a quencher on a hot day but not much flavor going on for me.

Pours a hazy gold with a one finger head. Smell is citrus and malts but I wasn’t getting much of either. Taste is subtle grapefruit and malts and finishes a little on the dry side. This is decent. Nothing earth shattering.

Poured from a 12oz can into a pint glass.
L: Light golden but gets orange around the haze. Completely turbid. Big, white head that laces on the side, but does dissipate to 1mm.
S: Smells strongly of citrus and tropical fruits. There are certainly some sweet malts too.
T: Very citrus forward, sweeter malts complement the juicy-ness of the orange flavor. The hop profile is not super distinct, but it does have some mild, dry bitterness that sells the citrus. Tastes pine-y on the burp. Sad to say that it's not super complex, but is tasty for what it's worth.
F: Particularly light for such a hazy brew, so it's super sessionable at 5.2% and perfect for the summer. Beer gardens and lake-house coolers alike would be improved by adding this.
Solid and yummy beer. An interesting example of the style, but leans more East Coast than West Coast. Definitely get on tap, if you can find it.

a decent hazy pale ale here, nice to see some magic hat on tap this far from home, but this isnt one of their better recent beers i dont reckon. it smells and tastes a little muted, tropical sure, but almost like intentionally scaled back to keep it in pale ale range, where letting this hop combination run into ipa territory would have yielded a more compelling beer. i dont know, its still good, definitely lighter for a pale, especially a hazy pale, but this seems on the edge of more malty than i want it to be for the hop complexion, and some of its namesake easiness is lost s a consequence. it has some soft wheaty texture without being heavy, a bit of residual sugar, and a clean fermentation profile but an oddly english essence as at warms somehow. the hops have sweet and bitter orange, lemongrass, and papaya notes, but its all pretty tame, springy and fresh enough, just not real bold at all. i like the beer pretty well, but find it a little bit generic overall. there really isnt a lot here to fall in love with, but its great to see some magic hat make its way to idaho, and i hope to see more as we move into summer, the season their beers really excel in, in my opinion.
