This beer, brewed exclusively for the Halvorson's Restaurant at the top of Church Street, was a gold color with good clarity out of their tap. The head was one finger of cream-colored foam that displayed very good retention and very good lacing in bands. The aroma was typical of the Magic Hat Company, sweet malt, wheat and light, fruity esters. The flavors were good and very similar to their Single Chair Ale. Starting with hints of fruit, it then became more centered on the pale malt and wheat 'twang' in the middle. I also tasted the yeast that MH favors, and a hint of bitterness in the herbal hop finish. Dry and grainy throughout, I found it to be crisp and refreshing in a summery way. The mouthfeel was slightly above average, the body medium/light and the carbonation medium/high (perhaps just a little prickly). A good overall beer and the rarity makes it worth a try if you're on Church Street.
