Hops hit hard the nose and taste buds before being balanced by a smooth malt body and the natural sweetness of fresh, Vermont honey. This unique IPA is truly a triple threat for the senses and the perfect beer for buzzing through summer nights.

on tap at the brewery yesterday afternoon. new this summer it pours a little bit cloudy paler honey color with a short white head. made with a ton of vermont honey, it smells very floral and sweet from that, but its sweetness is beautifully balanced in the nose by a variety of different hops. the flavor really features the honey, which is not often seen in an ipa, which this beer certainly is. wheat malts bring both sides together in a lighter and very refreshing summer beer. this is a really cool blending of a few styles that works perfectly in my opinion. the beer has avery light body, but most of its substance is in its flavor. good carbonation makes it easier drinking than many india pales. overall id like to see this get bottles, its totally different and very good.

Served in a pint glass
A: Pours a very hazy medium amber color which actually becomes more amber/yellow color towards the bottom where it is not as wide across the glass, pours with a very thing head which is off white and dissipates rapidly, leaves a small amount of spotty lacing
S: well it definitely smells right for the style, nice floral grapefruit hop notes and a slight funk on the tail end from the wheat, nothing astounding but still nice and right for the style
T: begins with a nice grapefruit hop note which transitions into a smooth period which isnt exactly distinct but keeps the beer moving along of the finish which is of sweet honey right on the very tip of the tongue
M: decently aggressive carbonation tingle on the pallet, smooth and just slightly creamy across the tongue, leaves the mouth feeling nicely dry and yet leaves the tongue watering which is a pleasant contrasting characteristic, i only drop it from a 4.5 to a 4 due to the carbonation aggression
O: im pleasantly surprised by this nice representation of the style brought to the table by magic hat, typically i find everyone of their beers to have one odd characteristic (or more) which i find very unappealing, IMO they often overdue it on the uniqueness which kills the quality of the liquid, this one was well done
