Pours a deep amber brown color with a half finger frothy off white head. Pretty beer that begs to be sipped.

A sweet kiss of peppermint patty hits the nose and is followed by a nice toasty finish on the nose. Gorgeous smelling beer and more aromatic than you'd expect from a less than 6% porter.

Soft pleasant touch of mint complemented brilliantly by the characters of a traditional porter. It screams to be sipped again. I wish I had a thin mint to enjoy with this one right now.

The mouth feel is thin as to be expected by a lighter beer like this. The taste does however carry completely through the palate.

Overall this beer is exactly what I had hoped for. Waited two years for it, definitely would buy again next year

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a mildly burnt brown color with a finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head. Dies off at a decent pace. Moderately stringy lace. The aroma had some milk chocolate up front, then roasty coffee bean. The mint, well, it’s there, somewhat, but super far underneath. The flavor leans towards the sweet side initially with the milk chocolate up front. Roastiness follows in. The mint, once again, well, actually, this time, it seems more just herbal. Light chocolatey to roasty aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine and the ABV feels on par. Overall, well, the chocolate and the coffee beans are there, but the mint (if that is mint), well, it’s obscure to say the least.
