Pours a dark deep brownish black with a head one finger high that dissipated over 30 seconds. On the nose a bit of coconut, and a nice bit of coffee. The coconut and coffee have a nice nose profile as they blend together. The taste is a sweet blend of coffee and coconut that carry from the start of the palate to the middle of the palate and finishes with a roasty sweet coffee flavor. The carbonation is just right even from the month old flip top bottle.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this beer, and is easily my favorite offering from Cape Cod Beer. They make a very good porter, but this surprisingly nice touch makes for a true beer experience.
