On tap at the Local Break in Eastham. Copper color and yeasty/malty nose is followed by flavors that may include melon, roasted malt, caramel and some sweetness bordering on honey or pineapple. Only a hint of bitterness. Easy drinking and not complex.

On-tap 8/27/2017 at British Beer Company in Hyannis, MA, served in an imperial pint glass.
A: The beer is a medium brown color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains caramelized malts, nuts, some fruit and some hops.
T: The taste starts out bready with a hearty but not too heavy malt character up front. Then some mildly sweet flavors of caramel and fruit come in. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.

This was poured into a stange. The appearance was a rugged semi-light auburn color with a nice finger’s worth of white foamy head that quickly dissipated. The aroma had that semi-sweet German yeasty bready/biscuit grassiness flowing into some slight floral esters. The flavor takes the crisp notes of the German yeasty sweetness to play with the floral esters, nice low bittering hops. Barely any aftertaste, but a slight bready sweetness. No finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a great sessionably smooth German yeasty sweetness to occur and flow over my tongue just as an altbier. Fairly low carbonation. ABV felt appropriate. Overall, this is a wonderful interpretation of an altbier and by an American brewer, damn right!

Pint on draft in a plastic tumbler at Ryan Amusements in Buzzards Bay, Mass.
Appearance: Pours a pretty clear amber with a big two-finger eggshell head. Good presentation.
Aroma: Toasty, malty. Grain, earth. Malt sweetness.
Taste: Follows the nose along with a nutty character that is very pleasant. Almonds. Toast. Earthy kind of vibe. Very tasty.
Mouthfeel: Easy and appealing. Has body but is sessionable.
Overall: Really good alt. Was excited to finally try something from this brewery and glad I picked this.

Tasting notes from October 21st, 2015
Had on-tap@ KC Bar and Grill in Falmouth, MA
Appearance - Served in a standard pint glass with an off-white head that peaked at nearly 2 fingers in width. The brew is clear and golden in color. Good retention, eventually dissipating to reveal a thin, broken layer of suds across the surface. The lacing is a strong pattern of spots and broken lines decorating the sides of the glass.
Smell - Clean cereal grain and lesser honey notes highlight the aroma.
Taste - Follows the nose. Clean grain malts and a touch of honey to add a gentle sweetness. Not much in the way of hops, but what's there is a distant touch of grassy bitterness to add a semblance of balance.
Mouthfeel - Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Crisp, clean and super smooth finish. This is nigh chuggable.
Overall - Fantastic drinker. This could have used a bit more hop to add more balance, but that's nitpicking. This is one of the better fest brews I'd had in quite a while.

1st time there as we are traveling. To be fair I only had their 5 out of 6 samplers. So I only had about 4 oz. to give a review for all of my samples. You should know this. I liked this and on my own 1-5 review gave it a 3 1/4. I would buy this
