Special Thanks to Corey0212 for providing this in trade. (so far he's the only one with the bottles!!)

Gold foil capped champagne style bottle. Poured this into my tulip glass and a 2 finger off white head formed. Slightly creamy with large bubbles. Deep amber color that's 50/50 brown and ruby colored. Excellent clarity.. a touch of lacing.. not much

Aroma is somewhat muted. Light caramel and slight wood. Keep smelling and some light fruit notes come into focus. Strawberry?

Wow, very nice. The barrel aging really comes through. Initial burst of fruit makes way for a moment of malt/caramel... Then you get some wood, vanilla notes.... they linger more than anything... Some hop presence, but I think the barrel notes take over. The more I enjoy the beer the more I get a nutty/almond feel.

Body is fairly light.

Pretty drinkable and enjoyable. I wish the body was a touch thicker to compliment the barrel aging, but this is a nice beer..

*** note, I came back and increased my score.. This really opens up when warmer... NICE!!

Great Job Cape Cod. Keep up the good work!!!

750ml bottle obtained in trade with corey0212. Thanks for the opportunity. Gold foiled cap.

Poured into a heavy glass chalice, formed a 1/2" tan head over the cloudy reddish copper brew. Head fades very gradually, with leggy lacing. Aroma is dominated by barrel character of vanilla and coconut. Taste is surprisingly reminiscent of the red, malty upfront, with the bourbon notes coming on in the middle and through the close. Mouthfeel is clean & smooth, and drinkability is excellent for a barrelled brew. Great stuff!
