Had this in the sampler tray.
The beer is black, with mahogany highlights through light. A short crown of creamy antique white head tops the beer, lasting in that familiar nitro fashion. Lots of lace, leaving a couple rings to mark it's passage into my belly.
The aroma is pretty much your average solid irish stout. A bit weak from the nitro, but still exhibiting a pleasant roasty maltiness. Negligible hops. A touch of coffee and chocolate, with perhaps a vague hint of plum. Simple, but certainly adequate.
The flavor is rather mellow. Like the rest of the beers in the sample, this was perhaps a bit too cold. Still a pleasant coffelike roastiness made up the majority of the flavor. A touch of plum fruitiness in the middle, fading into a light chocolate flavor in the finish, with enough hops to add a whisper of herbal flavor. The finish is dry, as to be expected of the name, leaving a mild roasty aftertaste. Smooth nitro carbonation and mouthfeel, with a rather light body.
A pretty solid stout, obviously modelled after Guinness, Beamish and the classic irish versions. My girlfriend ordered a pint after the sampler, and after it warmed up, it was quite enjoyable. Simple and effective. The coffee flavor is pleasant, although I would have preferred a regular CO2 sample, were it available.

5oz sample at brewpub.
Pours a dark brown, almost opaque, with a small tan head that laces decently. Aroma is roasted & toasted malts, with some dark bitter chocolate sneaking in. Flavor is of espresso, with some hot chocolate showing up as it warms a bit more. Body is medium, pretty tasty.
