impressive looking stout with a sand-colored head that covered the beer for the entire serving. aromas of charcoal and chocolate are easily detectable. heavily roasted elements dominate the taste, and even the chocolate tastes roasted. very smooth and chewy, but never overpowering, or too thick. it's rare to see this style done so well at a brew pub, let alone when it's not a regular offering.
