I swear I came up with the idea for Wonka beer a long time ago. You know; Willy Wonka and the beer factory; the beer that tastes like a three course meal, the beer that puts out helium instead of carbon dioxide; the bottles that you can eat. I suppose a pop culture offshoot of this sort was bound to emerge from numerous sources concurrently. But hey, the microbrewery inside a bottle that allows the bottle to never run dry thats still one of my originals.
As for Wonka Porter, it is a most agreeable beer. Though devoid of head or lace, this opaque brew is chock full of dark roasty flavor and sports an appetizing aroma. The aftertaste is particularly solid with a long, clean smoky decay. Perhaps most significantly, Wonka maintains its flavor for the duration of a leisurely pint, making this a nice hearty after-work beer. It also makes for a worthy session beer, but of course, if you drink too many, youll get Wonkad.
