*They called it this and said it is in the realm of oktoberfests, but i think it is a better example of a vienna lager... Just keep that in mind.
Pours out a nice clear brownish amber with a small white head. Very nice lacing here.
Smell. Has a very nice balance between the malts and some small sharp hop aromas. Just a small bit of caramel and lemon citrus. Quite nice really.
Taste. The hops play a very nice role here; they are present and gives it some bitterness, but it is very mild. The malts give it a bit of sweetness and just a small roasted taste. But overall it is the hops that prevail.
Mouthfeel is good. Nice carbonation. I really love the balance here. The mouthfeel is medium to just slightly full with a bit of a chewy charactistic to it.
Overall a very fine beer. Again, the bartender called it as their new german lager and said it is similar to an oktoberfest, and i agree. But there are some characteristics of a vienna lager as well. No matter what it is, it is quite nice.
