The pubs name is 'The Victory' (the brewing kit is in a corner, straight in front of you as you walk in.
The whole pub is modelled on HMS Victory, as she was in the Battle of Trafalgar, Nelson's flagship and where he lost his life.
Three Ports and Half a Galleon please.
Behind the bar is the Warship, well a Broadside of it anyway, complete with rigging and gun barrels protruding through their portholes. It truely is a wonderfully unexpected sight, if you haven't been in before.
Service is friendly and good, the beers from the Spinning Dog are on draught, with guest cask ales also available, along with the usual supects of lager etc.
The Spinning Dog name comes from the brewers dog. It farts and then spins round to grab its tail and bite the fart before it bursts, great to watch!
