This was their special offering and the first time Ive seen the Crescent offer a non-German style beer.
The beer was crystal clear copper with a small off-white head. Nice lace patterns.
The beer had a nice grapefruit pine aroma. There was some grainy malt in the background, but the hops are really what jumps out at you.
The taste was pleasantly bitter. Nice pine sap/citrus taste, but the malts were a little week and the beer was touch out of balance. Still an enjoyable beer.
I loved the low level of carbonation on this beer and was also glad to see that it was not served to cold. It had an oily smooth mouth. The drinkabilty suffers a bit from the lack of balance. A little pricy at $6 per glass, but well worth the happy hour price of $3!!
