Paris 4/4 2026. 33 cl bottle from MonoPrix, Rue la Boëtie, Paris 8e. White label with a loose drawing of rose. In black and a blue and a black stripe with the name of the beer in white letters.
Pours unclear, almost hazy, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as s 3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a sharp, tart and citric scent. Caramel with a touch of humid gym bag. Citrus and lemon. Hint of tart berries.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Belle, indeed. But I could do without the stuffy smell of socks.
