Put out under the "Beet Beer Factory" line as "Ji-Happoshu" from Brasserie Rancho El Paso, this beer includes beet juice in among its ingredients.
Smooth dark amber color (is this really a pilsener?) and creamy off-white head, thick yet active body. Smell is pungent sweet malts with huge accents of mint.
Taste, too, has alot of mint mixed in with the citric sour malt base. Light hop dryness balances. Body is medium to heavy, and creamy (again, is this a pilsener?); carbonation is low.
Very refreshing and drinkable. Perhaps a little watery.
Despite the name, I decided this had to be a spiced beer.
