Long lasting marshmellow top of tight foam over a light amber body. Highly active body keeps the head up. Fuzzy blanket lacing. Smell is bittersweet and strong...bizarre really. Notes of black licorice, roses, burnt plastic, grapefruit and orange peel (or "fuki no tou"); disgusting yet intriguing and addicting.
Taste complements the smell, which is not perhaps a good thing, although not such a bad thing either. The mouthfeel is stong and seltzery and finishes shallow and hollow. Strong, like a skunk, aftertaste fills the mouth.
The contradictions in the beer were truly enjoyable and addicting.
Made for the Heiwaen Yakiniku (korean style bbq) restaurant chain of Hokkaido.
