Dark blood red color with a uniform small bubble head of light brown color. Falls slow and solidly. Smell is whisps of alcohol and rotting red fruits, thankfully not TOO strong.
Taste is suspiciously like some other brews from El Paso, although I preferred it to others for its subtlety. The strong raw molassas syrupy sweetness is subdued and the earthy sticks hop aftertaste is mellow. Notes of prunes (must be the beets) and figs over the fruity cherry alcohol taste.
Mouthfeel is excellent for this naturally carbonated beer. Firm approach hits in the throat and a wide creaminess follows.
