Had this on tap in a pint glass at Vivo! in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Semi-cloudy tainted gold ale with a thick white head. No immediate scent present. Strong presence of rice and wheat. Very bubbly on the tongue even though it doesn't seem to be so carbonated. Beautiful thick white lacing left around the glass. A bit of pre-ripe Japanese mikan orange in the aftertaste. Foams up well when spinning and releases a wonderful fruity pineapple aftertaste. Overall, a decent pale wheat ale, but one that tastes more like a rice lager than anything.

No head on a lager looking yellow body.
Fresh grape juice and gumball aroma dominates. Malt and red wine.
Rustic malty flavor tastes more like a roughly made lager than an Pale Wheat. Fruit less obvious than on palate than it is on the nose. Other than the mild bitterness, the hop flavors are restrained.
Harsh on the palate.
