Clear, straw colour with a small white head. Decent retention.

Light, sweet grainy aroma. A touch dull.

Noticeable alcohol on the palate with mild grain and some maltiness.

Medium body with moderate carbonation.

An easy drinking but completely uninspiring strong lager. This serves no good purpose other than getting drunk quickly.

Pours pale amber with a large, quickly fading head.
Aroma is very malty, somewhat toasty and bready. Quite nice actually.
Similarly malty flavours, but sickly sweet, with a fair bit of the alcohol showing.
Too much carbonation.
Could be worse....

A - Poured into a pint gold a dark golden colour with a 1cm white head that falls away fairly quickly. Pretty much zero lacing.
S - Grainy maltiness, some vegetal character. Some vauge grassy and spice hints.
T - Sweet grainy maltiness, grassy/herbal with light hop spice notes coming through.
M - Low to medium bodied, slightly syrupy feel. Medium to high carbonation.
D - Certainly drinkable but I wouldn't be rushing back to it - far better options from this and other NZ breweries.

a: clear golden yellow color, moderate carbonation, little head disappears almost completely
s: sweet aromas -- sweet malts and honey
t: sweets malts to start, followed by saaz hops (as stated on the bottle), and finishing more malty
m: medium body, light carbonation making it seem a bit flat
d: actually not a bad brew -- the saaz hops certainly made it reminscent of a strong polish brew. worth a try

Clear, clean golden yellow body with tight bubbles in a small, off-white head. Nose is dull honey and bready malt sweetness. Some fruity alcohol. Light cardboard malt flavor intro, followed by honey-drenched cereal malts. Hop (Saaz?) spiciness cuts through somewhat, but the overall effect is malt sweetness. Not bad for a strong lager. Spritzy enough mouthfeel on a lightly syrupy body. Good with spicy Indian food I bet.
