Pours near black with a decent head.

Feel: Near medium body and nicely smooth; low but adequate carbonation.

Aroma: medium and dark roasted malts with hints of roasted nuts and stewed prunes.

Flavor: similar to the aroma, but less fruity and more nutty.

Feel: Near medium body and nicely smooth; low but adequate carbonation.

O: a solid porter.

Garnet brown with a loose taupe head that fades to film. Smoky roast with soil and grape skins.
Coffee, raisin and black malt and a touch of caramel with light vanilla and kola spice hops.
Tarry comeback and minty linger. Light to medium, lively, oily, some chew.

More than I expected out of this one. Nice roast, but .5% off overall because it's pretty one note. Good all night porter (heh).

Pours black with a fading off-white creamy head.
Nose shows soft roasted malt with rich chocolate characters and a little roasted coffee. Underneath is some toffee and caramel. Very nice.
Similar flavours but less roasted character, it seems to fall short at first from lack of malt.
Carbonation is too low and the body seems a bit watery.

675 ml bottle poured into glass mug

A: pours a deep brown with two inch fizzy looking tan head.

S: smells of dark malts, a raw roasted quality which is greener smelling then coffee or chocolate.

T: Subtle malt sweetness through the sip with mild bitterness and astringency at the end.

M: Medium body. maybe a bit watery. fizzy carbonation.

D: Nice to taste a beer that is clearly a porter as opposed to a stout.

This beer pours a jet black coca colour with average carbonation that leaves a fast vanishing half finger head,it has aromas of roasted malts, dark chocolate and a very feint hop aftersmell it has an above average mouthfeel that isnt thick or thin and the roasted malts and dark chocolate are the predominant tastes and it finishes with a nice subtle hop edge that makes you want to keep on drinking this beer, the use of hops and malts in this beer was definately a good match that balances out the sweet malty, chocolate taste to make this a nice porter.
