500ml bottle poured into pint glass 7/3/14

A clear golden yellow with lots of bubbles of all sizes feeding a two finger foam that falls fast leaving a few random patches of lace on its way down

S sweet grains, a little citrus, slightly metallic, smells like a macro with some grassy and citric hops added to the mix

T more of the same really, better then a macro lager with some added hops but nothing special

M light bodied, crisp and fairly clean, almost foams up from the bubbles but feels like it should I suppose

O its a lawnmower beer for sure, nothing to be ashamed of but nothing to write home about

not quite up to par with other kiwi lagers I've had as of late, I've had great luck taking shots in the dark here in NZ but this one doesn't really do much for me.

Pours pale gold with a lasting head. Nose is grassy and spicy with hints of bready malt. Pretty plain, and there's also a vegetal note in the background. More malt shows as a flavour, mainly bready. Very sweet with practically nothing in the way of balancing bitterness. Again, notes of corn and cooked vegies detract from the experience. Carbonation could be higher.

Great appearance for the style with a brilliant clear gold colour with a big, frothy, long-lasting white head.

Faintly malty nose. Moderate citrus hop note. Unfortunately, I get a slightly metallic character. Good but not great.

The flavour is slightly sweet malt, a bit metallic and very uninspiring.

Medium body with moderate carbonation. I'd like it to be a touch lighter.

This is an okay lager but the Kiwi ingredients really lend themselves to a lighter, crisper but more hop-driven lager than this.
