Pours an effervescent mahogany/black with a thumb of mocha head. Average head retention & lacing
S: Chocolate, mint (girl scout cookie thin mints), faded just a little once warmed
T: Dark chocolate, mintyness, a touch of woody dryness, a bit of sour cherry up front/ More mintyness once warm, some roasty malt & a whisper of vanilla & a bit of dryness & little more sour cherry & sour mash, plus dark choclate nibbling on the edges. Finishes with mintyness, sour notes that don't detract, but I do wonder if they were intentional???
MF: Medium bodied, fairly assertive carbonation, a touch warming. Carbonation slightly smooth out once warm
Easily the best beer I've had from these guys. Would've been a little better with out the sour cherry.sourmash component. This has potential for even more greatness

A - Pours almost completely black with 1.5 fingers of mocha colored head.
S - Smells like York peppermint candy. Dark chocolate, sweet mint, some banana and alcohol vapors.
T - Peppermint, toasty cocoa, salty, some green herbal mint, whiskey like alcohol mixes with the caramel malt to create a watered down jack and coke with a candy cane in it.
M - Low to medium carbonation, light to medium body, warming.
Sounds weird but was actually pretty good. It smelled better than it tasted. This beer could be really good but the alcohol kinda got in the way of the flavors. Overall the best I've had from this brewery.
