I had to create an account to right this injustice. This beer is really mislabeled. If you are expecting a porter you will be disappointed. It's a Belgian sour, an amazing one. And rediculously underpriced at that. Beers in this style start at $12 for four 12oz bottles. This one is $9 for 6, if I remember correctly.

A - Pours a dark chestnut brown with a fleeting tan head that forms a nice collar and thin ceiling. No lacing.

S - Sweet dark malt, chocolate covered raisins, sticky dates, nutty yeast. It has a cola sweetness with a bit of a sour twang.

T - Dark caramel malt, grape and berry fruit add an unwelcomed tartness. Nutty yeast, sweet malt, and molasses ride underneath. The carbonation helps out with the slick finish.

M - Cola-like carbonation, medium body.

Well it started out good with the nose but then I tasted it. Sadly its the same story with every beer I've had from this brewery. The sour vinous noted that seem like every beer is infected.
