This must be what is available all around Paris described as a “blonde.” But meh, not exactly Belgian or anything special. Just a classic easy drinking euro lager.

On tap at Le Cro’k Coffee in Honfleur, France.
With my ride or die by my side, Raul is sipping this thing in stride. Surrounded by Frenchies and boats, Raul almost feels that he can float.
Sometimes it’s just a beautiful thing… It really is.

Quite a disappointing brew. First when I saw it, I thought it was Belgian Blond... for 0.9 euro! Now it comes to my mind that "blonde" means "pale" in french. Faint lager.

Tastes like fizzy water.
Needs more hops. If I had been living in any other country I would probably love this, though after living in Paris and drinking Belgian beers for nearly a year...not really ; )

Brasserie de Saint-Omer "Saint-Omer"
50 cl. can, "Best before 26/07/2016"
Based on the ingredients listed, caramel coloring appears to be used to give this beer its brass-like appearance. The short head of bright white drops readily, and it leaves very little lacing behind. The nose is sweetish with an adjunct edge to the point that I had to check the can to reassure myself that I was actually drinking a beer. Hops are limited throughout, in both bitterness and flavor, and any character that might be there is, in fact, coming from hop extract - not that that's the worst thing a brewer can do to his beer, but when very little is used it's not generally of any use at all. It finishes sweet, but fades quickly without much ado. Pass this one by, it's not worth trying even at a low cost.
