Copenhagen 25/7 2016. 50 cl can from Aldi in Portugal. Black can with a very big "8,0" in red to reassure boozers that they get some ABV for their money.

Pours clear yellow with a white head. Settles as a thin layer of foam.

Aroma is sweet and slightly chemical. Reminds me of a detergent. Some metallic alcohol and a sour edge as well.

Medium strong carbonation and a slightly thick palate.

Flavor is heavily sweet followed by a sharp sourness. Metallic alcohol in the aftertaste.

Fairly unpleasant Strong Beer.

50 cL can, poured into a plastic cup, on a chill Sunday afternoon in Toulouse, France.

I was out on a stoll, saw an old gal sitting on her door step. Empty can of this.,. swill.,, on the sidewalk in front of her, one in her hand (other hand holding a cigarette.,), one more to her left, on deck.
She looked content and glazed AF.,

There’s a little market, 2 doors down, only place to get beer or wine on a Sunday, here in ‘La Vie en Rose’. I knew where old Sally got her goods.

So I assassinated my pride, went on in, bought a can., dumped it in a plastic ‘Hellfest’ 2022 cup.

Review it? OK.,.
Pours nice. Foamy top.
Stinks like Colt 45.
Tastes like sweet Colt 45, mixed with OE 800, splash of Budweiser’s corn mixture.
Mouth is full, medium carb.
Overall, beer can create its own atmosphere. I felt like a teenager trying to cop a buzz.
But it was nice.,. dammit.,.

500 ml can, from Netto Brønderslev, shared with Holmen1 and Holmen2. ABV is 8.0%. Golden colour, large white head. Malty aroma. Malty flavour too, fairly smooth, some alcohol warmth.

I got started on a foreign CAN kick yesterday & since I have a several CANs from this brewery, I have decided to CANtinue with a brewery horizontal in support (ISO) The CAN Quest (tm). Happy Laborious Day, 2017!

From the CAN: "Strong Beer 8.0 Sterk Bier 8.0 Cerveza Especial 8.0 Birra Doppio Malto 8.0". I am guessing that at 8.0% ABV, they want us to know that they are not playing around!

I Crack!ed this latest massive 50-cl CAN open & began a heavy-handed, but NOT inverted, Glug just to show it who was boss. Unbidden, it created a finger of foamy, soapy, tawny head with modest retention. Everything cows under my intense gaze. Color was another gorgeous Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 -5) with NE-quality clarity & The Gelt Gang of Mammon, Midas & Croesus came running in from my living room, where they were watching the Labor Day 2017 "M*A*S*H" marathon. Nose had an odd metallic twang which made me a bit leery. Onward! Mouthfeel was medium. Okay. The taste was very sweet, very honey-like & VERY dangerous. It was sweet, smooth & very unobtrusive, Right up until the moment that the back of my skull Pop!ped off and my addled brain matter began dribbling out all over everything! Ah, that must have been the impetus for all of those warning signs that I ignored. Well, good. I was only using my head for a hat rack anyway. I won't miss that pesky brain that kept nagging me & keeping me up at night. Things are smoothing out nicely. Goo. Finish was dry, but not hot, which was surprising. This managed to hide its alcohol well. Needless to say, I will be filling my cooler with this champ for upcoming outings. What I meant to say was, one was plenty. Has anyone seen my brain? It seems to have dripped out the back & run off in fear of what might be next. Gabba gabba hey!
