Poured into a pilsener glass, the appearance was a ruddy burnt orange to amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head. Sly messy lacing after dissipation. The aroma blends toasty malts with a sly caramel to toffee tones. Grassy hops. The flavor leans malty sweet with the roast entering in nicely. Lingering malty toasty aftertaste leading into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Overall, good amber lager that I could have again.

Dark amber with good clarity and a dense 1-finger head. Minimal, slightly sour aroma. Chewy bready malt. Somewhat heavy, but simplistic. Slight burnt nose. Slightly flat.

Served on tap at American Flatbread.
Color was a light to medium amber with minimal bubbly head.
Smells were of light roasted malts, a touch of spice.
Taste was nice for a bock lager. Flavorful but light. Hints of sweetness.
Mouthfeel was good, a touch light on carbonation for this reviewer.
I enjoyed the beer and it was a good compliment with my pizza.

Alewife and I were strolling around Burlington on 10NOV13 when a squall rose up, driving us inside. What happened to be near but American Flatbread! Hoo-ah!! Our mutual love of German bocks drew us both to this comically named brew. Poured in a tall, slender flute, at $5.00 per 12oz pour.

Its color was a medium-dark copper. Was clear, with steady carbo. Up top was a wispy thin tan head, with decent lacing. Nose sent off some mild caramel, lightly sweet. Medium smooth bodywise, it was also light on the prickle; hence a solid mouthfeel.

Flavor was a pleasing caramel/toffee throughout. Light, malty sweetness hit the palate. A smidge of floral hopping came about at the finish, but it was mostly a decent malt show here. Prosit!!
