On tap at the Tip Tap Room in Boston, MA.

This one pours a dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like clean and roasty malt, chocolate, some herbal hops, and some breadiness.

Nobody should be surprised that Zero Gravity nailed this one – it feels right on track, style-wise, with a nice bready, roasty, and chocolatey character to it, a light but supportive hop bitterness, and a creamy finish.

This is light bodied, but crisp and creamy, with a really nice drinkability.

At this point, if I see a new Zero Gravity beer, it’s a must try.

Pours a clear amber color. Thick, velvety off white head forms on the beer and lingers for quite a while before mostly dissipating. Aroma has notes of dark fruits, bready malts, some spicy rye bread, some spicy grassy hops and a touch of nutty malts.

Taste follows the nose with notes of bready malts, some rye bread, some nutty character and some definite fruitiness. It reminds me a bit of a bock or doppelbock with that rich malty character taking on a touch of fruit. Spicy, grassy hops come through on the back end. Feel is medium bodied, smooth, and easy drinking. Finish trends drier, but is by no means dry. Moderate carbonation.

Overall a very nice Czech dark lager that brings some unique qualities through that fruitiness from the malt. Very enjoyable.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass, born on 1/24/23. Pours dark yellow, brown with two fingers worth of head with nice retention. Warm bready notes coupled with nuts and a hint of caramel - which adds a nice subtle sweetness. Good!

Growler share. My portion was poured into a pilsner glass. The appearance was a mild semi-clear brown color with a subtle transparency about it. A finger’s worth of white foamy head died off at slow pace. Mild messy lacing. The aroma had some mildly sweet bready to smooth nuts up front. Lightly hopped with some sweet grassy tones. The flavor mainly kept to the sweet breadiness. Hops seem barely there. Mild bready aftertaste. No finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. Soft bready silkiness lays down on my tongue. ABV seemed a bit lower than suggested on here. Overall, to me, a nice beer that would be great with its respected food.

Enjoyed on draft at Three Penny Tap in Montpelier.
A - Caramel colored back drop, glorious color. slight haze, a great cap
S - Warm bread, malts and sweet caramel, slight herbal, element from hops. Very Bamberger.
T - What a delight, Malts, a bit of earthy flavors, with a fall feel.
M - soft on the palate, delicate dance with a mild carbonation that ushers toward a slightly sweet finish
O - A true delight, lager, with a soft palate, warm toasty notes and refreshing finish.
What a treat to be had

this is one of the best american made examples of the style i have ever had, and it gives me a new type of respect for these guys, who always seem to be experimenting and putting out crazy new stuff. nice to see they can dial in a classic better than some of the classics! no kidding, its that good. a czech style dark lager, it comes in a rich amber color with a lasting inch of tan fluff, and it smells and tastes awesome. the lager yeast is robust enough to be as flavorful as the grain, and its really complimentary, bakery fresh with a autumnal nutty and slightly sweet toasted grain complexion, somewhat more robust than some of the old world examples of the style, but its similar in a lot of ways too. its deliciously smooth and carbonated only just enough. it sort of lingers without being sweet. sturdy on the grain, toasty and warming, but dry enough to be refreshing too, and low enough in alcohol to be a beer to make a day out of. my dad reckons this is one of the best beers he has ever had, and while i may not go that far, its an awfully impressive example of the style that underwhelms more than not in the american craft context. super good.
