Poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a stiff golden bronzed orange color with a finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Not much lace, somewhat speckled and sliding.
The aroma had some herbal to floral sweet qualities up front gently flowing on into a light spiciness. Then some woody to earthy character invades gently to play with a gentle sweet melon underscore.
The flavor leaned into a blend of the sweet qualities of the melon to herbal to floral assortment. Light breadiness came in nicely. Aftertaste was somewhat leaning into the melon, breadiness and floral to herbal qualities. Spice was there, but super light.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate. Bready to melon to semi-spicy sort of finish.
Overall, Belgian pale ale or Saison, me, I'm not sure, but it's well worthy to come back to whatever it's supposed to be.

they advertised this one as a saison, but i found it to be much more of a hybrid with a belgian pale ale, great beer though either way. bright golden in color with a very tall and lasting white head, looks awesome. it smells rather herbal, maybe not hoppy herbal, but more of a green tea thing, and of course the yeast, which is more belgian than saison, but has elements of both that come through. white grape and peach notes in the flavor, in with the generic fruity and slightly gummy belgian thing, and just a hint of farmhouse tang to it as well. very very clean for the style, not as hoppy as expected, but still with that summery herbal quality, short of floral but not way off. refreshing for how full bodied it is, and a great palate cleanser with the pizza there. it doesnt really fit into any specific style very neatly, but its one of the best beers i had here during my recent visit. easy drinking and interesting, i like that.

On tap at American Flatbread. Served in a wine glass. Hazy orange. Medium white head. Smell is really yeasty. Doughy pilsner malt. Floral aroma. Sharp Belgian yeast flavor. Hoppy up front. Tastes like it has flower additions. Lavender and hop bitterness linger. Medium body. Well carbonated. Fascinating beer.
