On tap at Zero Gravity, the Pine Street location.
This was served in a tulip.
The appearance was a bronzed golden copper color with barely any head or lace, but this is a cask, so I get it.
The aroma was absolutely stunning, the Jade Tea melds with the mango and Sorachi Ace so good, there's a delicate herbal to floral to sweet and spicy hoppy character.
The flavor was a fine blend of sweet herbal to floral and tea-like character from the Jade and the sweet pulpiness from the mango just fusing exceptionally nice. Slight aftertaste of mango, Jade Tea and spiciness from the Sorachi Ace.
The mouthfeel was exceptionally smooth from the tea yet seemingly trying to pull some spiciness from the hops. No carbonation, but this is a cask beer, so no harm, no foul. ABV seemed as promised. The finish delivers with the smoothness of the tea.
Overall, as much as I was enthralled by this beer, I realize where was Grand Royal, the base beer itself? I'd have again preferably for me. But if you're a fan of the base beer, you may be a tad disappointed to learn it gets lost in the mix a bit.
