Served at the brewpub. Pours a nice dark brown with ruby around the edges. 3/4 inch tan foam head with small dense bubbles. God roasted aroma with mild bittering hops in the back. The taste is pretty good. I would consider the taste to be leaning more towards that of a schwartzbier, but the hop addition steers it back more towards a dunkel. Residual sweetness starts to build throughout the drink much like dinkel acker does to me. A little thin in the mouth like an english brown ale. Overall a good dunkel. Not sure if I could drink it all night because of that thick sugary buildup. ABV would be 5.5% if I had to guess.

Color: Brown with a ruby red hue and one-finger head.
Aroma: Smooth and malty. Sweet.
Taste: Malty and sweet with a hint of brown sugar. Smooth.
Mouthfeel: Sweet and smooth. Drinkable. Goes down well.
Verdict: A very drinkable dunkel that would be a good introduction to Flatbread's beers.
