Don't really remember this beer. Got 2 from this brewery so may have come from Amazing Beer Club as they give you 2 from each brewery. Probably had about 2 years ago.

Smell is of yeast, spices, and a wee bit of alcohol with a little sweet mixed in. Flavor profile follows the smells, with the alcohol fairly well hidden. complex flavor, which lends itself to increased drinkability. Of course, given the alcohol level of the brew, drinking too many might land you into some trouble.

Aged two years and sampled at Christmas in July '08. Pow! Pure white head rapidly dissipated despite an enthusiastic pour off the tap. Deep gold color like honeycomb. The aromas are muscular and fearless, alcohol and sweet malts with overripe fruit behind it. The flavors are equally bold, malty as all hell is hot, gobs of honey layered on top of the punchy alcohol (8.5%). Nectar like and cloying. Even as a desert beer one really needs something like an aged cheese to counterbalance it.
