This 'unfiltered German-style Pilsner' was delivered to me a true gold with surprising clarity for an unfiltered offering. The head was off-white, one finger thick and displayed moderate retention and good lacing. The aroma was understated, green grain and dry grain. The taste was also grain dominated, wheat and corn at first and hops in the middle with a distinctly Pilsner 'nip'. The body was light and the carbonation high which when combined messed up the mouthfeel for me. It was however a crisp beer and the flavors were enjoyable but I really think of it as a spring or summer offering as opposed to fall where, here in VT, one wants something with more gumption.
