I had this On tap at the American Flatbread Burlington Hearth.
Served in a small challis I asked for a short pour after sampling it.

The brew was a dark reddish brown in color with a small of white head that faded fast. The brew had a aroma of blueberries and it also had a light maple note to me as well. This brew drank well the alcohol was a little hot but the flavor of sweet malts help calm it down. It had a medium to full feel in my mouth.

I liked this beer I treated it as a desert and enjoyed every drop. I would gladly drink it again

Had this a couple times over the weekend, enjoyed it the first time more than the second, but that could just be a difference between the batches (or that the first time I had it was immediately after I got off work).

Appearance - Nice dark color, looking like a classic dubbel with possibly a slightly more colorful/dark blue hue.

Smell - Not overwhelming, just enough to let you know what you're in for. Slight smell of the blueberries but nothing too heavy.

Taste - Nice dark dubbel taste with a slight hint of fruit. The fruit isn't as upfront as some other fruity dark beers I've tried.

Mouth - Nice and heavy, what you would expect from a heavier dark beer.

Drinkability - Wouldn't want to pound these, but given how tasty it is why would I?

Definitely worth trying if you get the chance. I've ordered them both times I was at flatbread recently and while I enjoyed the first more it was great both times.

Pours a nice red color with blue highlights and a one finger head.

Aroma is nice and malty with raisin, currant and only a faint hint of blueberry.

Taste is a bit sweet with raisin, currant and a bit of blueberry upfront.

Mouthfeel is full of lingering currant, raisin and blueberry essence. Just a bit more interesting.

Has the hallmarks of the style but with a bit more character. Very nice otherwise. Strong and not something you drink fast.
