Off a cask tap at this fabled restaurant this beer was a cloudy, golden-orange color. The head retention was quite impressive; the khaki cap lasted all the way to the end of my glass leaving torn fishnets of lacing. The aroma was of Belgian yeast, citrusy Cascade hops and pale malt. The flavors followed the aroma and were similar to a Belgian IPA only not quite so aggressive. I tasted Belgian yeast, pale malt, hints of wheat and minerals and a hoppy finish reflecting both the Chinook and Cascade used. The finish was clean and the bitterness + minerals gave it a certain cave-aged quality. The mouthfeel was creamy, the body medium and the carbonation light.

A treat to try on tap at the brewery/restaurant in Burlington. Pours clouded yellowy amber, sporting an off white fairly minor head, and then leaving well developed stained glass windows of lacing. Floral hopped up nose, leads to a well hopped initial taste, Belgian yeastyness/wheatyness underflowing. Further sips continue the hoppy Belgian theme, but seems a bit disjointed and then watery in the mid section. Not the greatest hoppy Belgian ale, lacks the focus/depth of flavors of the all stars of the genre.

A collaboration with Jacob Marin.

Pours a pale, slightly-cloudy gold color into my glass.

Aroma is slightly floral with not much else to detect. Clean. Perhaps a slight amount of esters.

Taste is full of grassy hops upfront. Slight amount of spice from the yeast. Cascade and Chinook hops seem well-balanced here.

Mouthfeel is full of lingering spiciness followed by lingering grassiness from the hops.

A very nice ale that is drinkable and shows that cascade hops can be "tamed" in the right ale. A hearty congrats to the lucky couple for whom this was brewed for (Jacob and Beck).
