Brewed traditionally, using Juniper branches to filter the mash. We used rye, wheat, and juniper berries and fermented with a bread yeast to make this dark farmhouse ale.

Light fizzy head creamy with lacing semi hazy orange reddish slight copper color.
Nose light reddish malt, toasty candy like malts with bit of sweetness, light nutty like caramel malt and light fruity jam like berry with hint of fruity rye and touch of juniper, kind of pb&j like.
Taste more pb&j like more nutty reddish caramel sweet malts, little candy like with touch syrupy sweet jam like, hint of juniper bitterness with more fruity rye and fruity berry flavors. The juniper seems more like candy juniper than bitter berry. Chewy malts round it off. Finish is still fairly sweet with more candy juniper berry and nutty reddish malts with light bitterness.
Mouth is med bodied, little syrupy and chewy like, decent carb.
Overall interesting but not great, more like mock beer with candy pb&j like than real sahti. This is the kind of beer Short's would make, and very little actual Sahti style in this.
