Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a semi-dark rusty copper color with a two finger white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace. Good "weizenbock" lace. The aroma had a super nice blend of spicy cloves to soft sweet wheat. Subtle milk chocolate. And then dark chocolate. German yeasty/breadiness. The flavor leaned to the sweet side initially and then brings in the clove. Nice blend! Well combined aftertaste. Quickly malty wheat smooth finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt as intended by the brewer. Overall, super nice weizenbock well welcoming again and an absolutely awesome time of the year to have this.

Still enjoying the day (10NOV12) with Alewife at Zero Gravity... After having a rauchbier, I settled into 4 glasses of this eminently quaffable weizenbock, at $5.00 per 12oz glass.
The flute was filled with a bier which was a deep chestnut color, with a little haziness present. Could not see much carbo floating within, but the head was tan, fine and thin, with a touch of lacing. Aroma gave up a bit of clove, banana and choco, while the body and feel on the tongue were in the medium range.
Tasted some nice sweetness right off, followed by more clove, some subtle roasty notes and light banana. Choco and caramel also came into play here, a really solid melange of flavors all the way. Hopping was light on this one, but the mix of other flavors really hit the spot. I ended up having four of these, with Alewife draining three. Quite nice! Prosit!!
