On tap at the 2014 Secret Stash Bash (Atlanta).
Rabid Duck (2010?) aged in van Winkle barrels. Served on tap at the 2014 Secret Stash Bash (Atlanta).
Richly flavored RIS featuring superb and not overdone bourbon flavoring and aroma. A load of bourbon barrel effect here; would be overdone with a less robust ale or lesser bourbon.
Smooth, full feel with notable warmth in the mouth and warming after the swallow.

1/2 barrel keg into a tulip at Raleigh Rare 2014. This was a 2009 rabid duck aged in bourbon barrels specifically for the Raleigh Rare event.
Pours a dark black with a nice head. Smell is big on chocolate that really came through as it warmed up a bit. The taste was big on chocolate but especially smooth. the barrel really eased up the hotness of this beer (as well as the age too) and made it exceptionally easy to drink. Full bodied for sure, with light carbonation.
Overall very impressed. Good job Duck-Robert!
