Appearance: Arrives with a charcoal color capped by a foamy beige head; impressive lacing action
Smell: Roasted tones and caramel balanced by pith and pine
Taste: Roasted tones and caramel form the front end, with citrus pith and pine flavors offsetting them in the middle; the finish is surprisingly balanced
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Really impressed by the execution here; so many times I come away disappointed by renderings of this style where the flavors compete rather than complement; this one was a clear exception
