Brewer for the Beer Co. bottle shop 1 year anniversary. On-tap at the store, the beer is jet black, with a filmy, off-white, foamy head. Nose of toasted bread, vanilla, woody highlights, chocolate, maple, and booze. Flavors are roasty/toasty forward, with a sugary sweet maple and vanilla blend. Heavy bourbon spice, with a muted booze warmth. Chocolate and coffee blend at the end of the palate. Smooth and light in mouth, with a dry undertone. Chocolate and coffee linger on a smooth, dry finish. Great beer.
