Had on tap. Medium brown with a brown cap. Get the spices and malts in the nose immediately, some earth underneath, low intensity. Taste is brightly spice, malt depth is low for style but the flavors are lush enough to get by before it warms up too much, almost has some tartness too. Feel is thin, springy in the spices, and while malt driven is light, just doesn't come together as an integrated belgian dark

I tried this a t the Summertime Brews Fest. Finally got a pint this week-end. Wonderful brown color. A thin head that left nice lace as I drank and swirled. Aroma was sweet, nothing overly present. A very smooth brew like a nice Brown Ale but with subtle spices. A good froth livens it up and one can taste the spices and the hops are mild and very well-balanced. I could not totally detect the wheat malt. This beer is awesome because it combines so many things without being too complex and is smooth and very drinkable. Cheers,
Joe

I had tried this last weekend at the Hickory Hops festival and was perplexed by the origins of the style and had to try again.Pours a nice medium brown with some orange hue to it a fluffy head leaving some nice lace behind.Aromas of toasted malt and coriander was appetizing the coriander was subtle but noticable, nice rounded flavors but not over the top coriander was present with some chamomile floweriness in ther as well, just a bit of tartness.A very interesting style one I havent had a dark Belgian-style wit, very very impressive.
