Mighty Citra is a twist on the classic APA. Brewed with Pale malt, we've added Munich and Biscuit malts, along with a healthy dose of flaked oats. For hops, this one features the ever-popular Citra variety. Citras are renowned for their intense citrus aroma and flavor.

On tap at the brewery into pint glass. Pours slightly hazy medium orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with lasting retention. Nice dense soapy lacing, and some streaming carbonation on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, mango, passionfruit, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, toast, light caramel, herbal, floral, grass. Medium-high pine, citrus rind, herbal, spicy bitter finish. Medium carbonation and body. Balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky/resinous hop mouthfeel. Lingering resin dryness and minimal hop astringency. Minimal warming 5.4%. Overall outstanding vibrant and dank hops with a toasty malt backbone. I love it. Fantastic pale ale. Balanced juicy/dank hops and bready Munich malt flavors.

On tap at the brewery's biergarten in downtown Greensboro.
Appearance. Cloudy, pale golden body with a decent white head.
Aroma. Clean and fresh with the Citra hops well presented.
Flavor. Clean and fruity like the aroma. Perhaps a little towards the bold side for style but moderate bitterness.

Canned on 9/06/18.Pours into a nonic a full deep golden with a large billowing full one finger white head that sticks nicely as it settles into a pillow-like mass.Citric and grassy hops stand out most in the nose, some sugary sweetness comes into play as well.A nice fuller smooth feel coming from the flaked oats, very smooth and almost creamy.Herbal and slightly spicy on the palate, not as fruity as the aromas suggest and much dryer. Not a bad APA,don't drink much of NG's wares theses days,a quaffable beer.
