I had lower expectations for this brew but was honestly pleasantly suprised.Came from the tap a light golden with good clarity and a fine 1/2 finger white head, aroma is very very clean a little toastiness and a touch of leaf but its faint.Flavors a much better toasty and grainy at the onset a sharp bitter shot hits home in the finish like a shot of grapefruit, that pleasantly suprised me.A quaffing ale with a shot of hops in the finish really not bad.

Light copper body with a small film of head and some lacing.

Smells like base malt with a touch of hops.

Taste like weak malt with a hint of bitterness at the end giving way to a huge corn flavor. DMS issues with this one.

High carbonation, very slightly drying.

This beer is lacking in a lot of areas. That being said, it would make for a decent session beer.

Enjoyed on tap at the Old Town Draught House in Greensboro.

When I asked the bartender about this beer, he described it as a "mistake beer" that ended up pretty good and that it was an excellent craft brew gateway beer.

It poured a bit darker than I expected with a mild amber color and humble head. The citrus hop taste you expect in an APA was present but it was very mild and didn't attack the palate and left room for a pleasing caramel malt finish. Overall, it was an interesting ale, but lacked some of the resolute punch of Natty Greene's better brews.

Apparently, this is the "official beer" of the Greensboro bicentennial.
