Served on draft at the downtown location. Arrives at the table a nearly opaque black with black cherry highlights. A somewhat small tan head that is rather thin and unsubstantial.
Quite roasty in the nose. Some fruitiness but mostly a really nice roasty and oatmeal/ cereal aroma.
Good flavor as well. Not as sweet. Loads of roastiness with some chocolate and vanilla and a touch of smokiness.
Nearly full bodied and slightly sweet yet not overdone. Slight hints of alcohol in the flavor and finish but otherwise, a really nice beer.

I dont go to Natty's to much anymore I think the quality of some of their stuff has gone down a bit over the last few years,in saying that this wasnt to bad.Poured in to a standard pint a jet black with a thinner but well retained mocha colored head.Aromas were slightly burnt and of dark roast coffee,with some sweet molasses as well.Flavors were obviously on the sweet side with some molasses and vanilla-like flavors with a decent hit of roast,a nice full mouthfee coats the mouth.A little sweet but it is a sweet stout,a good dessert beer but not one to drink alot of in my mind.
