This was nothing short of exceptional. Nice firm, rich maltiness, with a nice hop flavor in the background. This was the absolute perfect balance of malt flavor and hop flavor, but it is remarkably smooth too. I will go back and pick up a growler of this, that is when they have growlers available....

Great stuff.

Had this last night at the brew pub.Poured a jet black with no light showing through at all,a thin quick to ade light mocha colored head atop.Deep roast and bitter chocolate stand out most in the nose,a passing aroma of leafy green comes as the beer sits.Again the deep roast is big on the palate with bitter unsweetened chocolate,a big dry earthy finish lingers.A well hopped stout like the description says,a nice bold flavored stout.

This beer came out a deep thick black with a good finger-width of tan head on top. Decent retention; left tons of sticky lace and sip rings in its wake. Smells of big roasty malts, some mild cocoa, and walnuts.

Big full body that is quite filling and heavy. This starts out with flavors of burnt toast and has a slight charred finish. The malt profile is a little too heavily roasted, could stand a bit of sweet balance here. Some mild nutty aftertaste. Chocolate flavors are absent. This was a pleasant sipper after dinner. I like what they did, but it was just a bit too "burnt" for me to have another.
