A-Pours gold with a bright white head that dissipates very quickly and leaves no lacing.

S-Somewhat spicy with some citrus notes.

T-chalky, soapy, with a weird lingering aftertaste. Not very good.

M-thin and over carbonated.

D-easy drinking if you can overlook the off tastes.

Overall, I would never drink this again it is no where near Orval.

a: shaker pint serving, medium golden in color, with a lightly retained layer of carbonation

s: light malt base with a balanced sweetness, mild yeasty phenols, grassy hop aroma, pretty nice

m: carbonation moderate in level on a lighter bodied beer

t: a simple pale malt structure holds some nice belgian yeast flavors and an earthy, grassy hop flavor, finishing with a light bitterness

d: drinks just fine, low in alcohol with enough flavor to keep things interesting

Reviewed from notes. On tap at the brewpub.

Oddly for the style, this pours a brownish color. Bit of a thin head. Nose brings some pear and light spicing. The taste has a bit of spice, pear, light fruits, mild hops, and a bit of grain. Feel is light with ample carbonation. Somewhat strange for the style, though not a bad beer.

Beautiful slightly hazy orange. Head isn't bad, leaving a film after a few minutes. Retention and lacing could be a littel better though. Phenolic and wonderful aroma and flavor. Spicy with a nice dose of noble hop. Just a touch of citrus. A really nice blanket of maltiness really makes it especially flavorful and fills in all the cracks. Perfect carbonation for the style. Refreshing and crisp, but with more body than you would expect at just 4.8%.

On-tap at the Raleigh pub served in a standard pint glass a slightly hazy dark orange with a decent frothy head that was slow to diminish and left slight lacing on the glass. Aroma was sweet fruit and mild spice. The taste was the same, sweet fruits and spices such as orange peel. The beer was certainly light and crisp with decent carbonation. This one was enjoyable, but I don't think I'd choose it again.

Poured a brass color with a fluffy, sticky white head, two rows of broken lace was left behind as it settled slowly.Muted aromas of light medicnal and pear qualities.Flavors were slightly phenolic with some of that pear fruitiness,a little grainy in the mouth.Drinkable but pretty tame.
